Chery Q EV Launched in Pakistan at Rs. 5.554 Million

Chery Master Pakistan has launched the Chery Q electric car at the Pakistan Auto Show 2026, with a limited-time introductory price of PKR 5,554,000. Buyers during the promotional period will also get a free 7kW home charger worth PKR 100,000. The car is being pitched as an affordable, practical EV for Pakistani families who want modern electric mobility without spending too much.

The launch expands Chery Master’s New Energy lineup in Pakistan. The company already offers the Tiggo 7, Tiggo 8, and Tiggo 9 plug-in hybrids, and the Chery Q takes it into pure electric territory. Chery says rising fuel costs, concerns about fuel availability, and the growing use of solar power are making fuel-efficient and affordable EVs more attractive in Pakistan.

The Chery Q is designed to offer more than a typical hatchback. Chery Master says it combines SUV-like interior space, sedan-style comfort, and much lower running costs. The company claims running costs can be up to 94% lower than a conventional hatchback, especially when the car is charged using solar electricity. In the PKR 4.5 million to PKR 6 million range, buyers usually have to compromise on space, technology, safety, convenience, or running costs, and Chery says the Q is meant to address all of those areas together.

Despite its compact exterior, the Chery Q has a 1,811 mm width, a 2,700 mm wheelbase, and up to 152 mm of rear knee room. It comes with electric rear-wheel drive, mobile app controls, and voice commands. Key features include a 42.7 kWh battery, up to 400 km NEDC range, 9.4 km/kWh claimed efficiency, 6.6 kW V2L, 6.6 kW AC charging, six airbags, Level 2 ADAS with 21 functions, a 540-degree HD camera, automatic parking assistance, a 15.6-inch 2.5K infotainment display, and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

One of the biggest selling points is lower running costs. Chery Master estimates that a petrol vehicle travelling around 20,000 km a year could cost about PKR 488,000 to PKR 569,000 in fuel. By comparison, running the Chery Q on solar electricity could cost around PKR 30,000 a year. That makes it especially appealing for households that already have solar panels, since home-generated electricity can cut EV charging costs even further.

Pakistan’s EV market is growing quickly as more consumers and businesses look for alternatives to petrol and diesel vehicles. The wider use of solar power is also making it easier for households to pair solar energy with an EV and lower their long-term transport costs. Chery Master believes this shift toward New Energy vehicles can help both buyers and the country’s broader energy landscape by reducing dependence on conventional fuel.

Chery Master Pakistan combines Chery’s global automotive experience with Master Group’s long-standing local presence. Chery operates in more than 130 countries and has served over 20 million customers worldwide, while Master Group has decades of experience in Pakistan, including more than four decades in the automotive sector. Chery Master says its local focus will be on product quality, parts availability, and after-sales support. It currently has 14 3S dealerships across eight cities and plans to expand to 20 dealerships in 12 cities within six months.

The Chery Q is priced at PKR 5,554,000 as a limited-time introductory offer at PAPS 2026, and buyers during the promotion also receive the 7kW home charger worth PKR 100,000 at no extra cost.
